Brightness in the 12 Earthly Branch palaces

The same star shines brighter or dimmer depending on which Earthly Branch palace it sits in. Blank cells are positions the classical texts do not rate.

Tian Xiang in the 12 palaces

Tian Xiang in the Parents palace

When bright: The Seal star Tian Xiang, bright in the Parents palace, often comes with well-mannered, upright parents who value honor and have a voice in the community, so you learn proper conduct from childhood. Superiors trust you with tasks that require a seal or signature. Do not nod along to things you do not truly agree with just out of deference to your elders.

When weak: At times you may feel your parents or bosses are not strong enough to lean on, and the family may go through frustrating periods; that is the influence of a weak Tian Xiang in the Parents palace. Seals, signatures and documents call for care: avoid signing on someone else’s behalf or acting as their guarantor. Keep your word and build solid independence, and you yourself will become the family’s support.

Tian Xiang in the Fortune & Spirit palace

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang in the Fortune & Spirit palace is the blessing of people who value their word: a family with good traditions, perhaps with ancestors who held office or were known for charity. Your spirit is upright; you like to mediate and stand up for the weak. Old age tends to bring respect, but worry less about appearances so your heart feels lighter.

When weak: Troubled over honor, feeling you did the right thing yet were not understood: a weak Tian Xiang in the Fortune & Spirit palace can leave this feeling, and there may be awkward matters of rank and precedence among relatives. You sometimes take risks to prove yourself. Choose one or two core values to hold on to and let petty comparisons go; living rightly yet lightly is what brings peace.

Tian Xiang in the Property palace

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang in the Property palace brings the image of a grand, orderly, dignified home. Your property papers are usually complete, and transfers and title registration go fairly smoothly. The family keeps good order and guests feel respect; just do not buy a house beyond your means for the sake of pride.

When weak: Complicated ownership papers, joint names or long waits for paperwork may keep you from feeling settled if Tian Xiang is weak in the Property palace. Sort out the legal side before renovating, and do not hold property in your name for others or guarantee their assets. Keeping a tidy, well-ordered home also helps the family atmosphere stay steady.

Tian Xiang in the Career palace

When bright: The seal and signature are Tian Xiang’s symbols, and when the star is bright in the Career palace, you suit positions that hold the seal: administration, management, legal affairs, human resources, diplomacy, executive assistance, or healthcare. You work with integrity, know how to mediate, and are given authority by superiors. Keep your own convictions so others cannot exploit your credibility.

When weak: At work, a weak Tian Xiang can put you in a supporting role without real power, or pull you into responsibilities that are not yours. Be careful about signing for others or holding things in your name on their behalf. Clearly defined professional roles such as office administration, medical technician, project coordination or customer care will help you build credibility step by step.

Tian Xiang in the Friends palace

When bright: You are usually surrounded by decent, trustworthy people: a bright Tian Xiang in the Friends palace brings friends and staff who know how to support others and keep their word. You often play the mediator, keeping the group united. The only catch is that out of goodwill you sometimes let others steer you their way, so hold to your own views when it counts.

When weak: A weak Tian Xiang in the Friends palace can leave you frustrated with those around you: you help a lot yet staff and colleagues do not follow, or you get pulled into factions you want no part of. Your stubbornness and boldness sometimes make conflicts harder to untangle. Stay neutral, spell out each person’s responsibilities, and do not take the blame for others just to be nice.

Tian Xiang in the Travel palace

When bright: Outsiders often respect you as someone trustworthy enough for big responsibilities: a bright Tian Xiang in the Travel palace gives you a dignified, warm presence that benefactors notice. In new environments, you suit roles in management, coordination or representing a group. Just be careful with risky invitations from strangers, as you are fairly easily swept along when trusted.

When weak: A weak Tian Xiang in the Travel palace is like a general who has not yet found the right battlefield: out in the world your ability is there but not used where it should be, and you may take on work for others and then bear the blame. Meeting Xun Kong, Jie Kong or Tian Xing, be even more careful with documents, commitments and travel safety. Choose environments with clear processes, where your word is recorded in writing.

Tian Xiang in the Health palace

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang in the Health palace gives you a fairly sturdy constitution and a kind, steady spirit that rarely lets worry weigh you down. Areas worth watching are the skin of your face, your skin in general and your urinary tract, especially when you drink little water or work outdoors a lot. Good skin care, avoiding harsh sun and regular checkups are small habits that keep you at your best for years.

When weak: Minor bumps to the face are worth being careful about when Tian Xiang is weak in the Health palace, especially if Tian Xing is also present, and your skin and urinary tract also deserve attention. Your bold, get-it-done-fast nature often makes you skip protective gear at work or in sports. Use proper safety equipment, keep a balanced routine and get regular checkups so small things stay small.

Tian Xiang in the Wealth palace

When bright: Steady cash flow is the strength of a bright Tian Xiang in the Wealth palace: income comes from your credibility and from positions with authority to manage, approve or represent. You keep money fairly well because you value principles and rarely chase shady profits. Just be careful about putting your name on things, guaranteeing or signing for others, because your seal carries more weight than you think.

When weak: A weak Tian Xiang in the Wealth palace leaves your finances often swayed by others: lending out of goodwill, standing as guarantor, or following others into risky investments. Income is not lacking, but it is hard to build into real capital. Keep your personal money separate from money for helping others, and make it a rule never to sign any financial commitment before reading it carefully.

Tian Xiang in the Children palace

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang (the Minister) in the Children palace suggests children who are upright, sensible, responsible, and quick to stand up for their friends. You teach through structure and fairness, leading by example more than lecturing. Note that your children care about face, so private feedback works better than reminders in front of others.

When weak: A fallen Tian Xiang can make children headstrong and daring, more influenced by friends than by your words. You may feel frustrated that your efforts as a parent aren’t paying off yet. Keep an eye on their circle of friends, walk alongside them instead of forbidding, and wait patiently for maturity to arrive in its own time.

Tian Xiang in the Spouse palace

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang in the Spouse palace often brings a kind, trustworthy partner who lives with order and steps up when the family needs it. Your marriage has mutual respect and is rarely shaken. Your partner is fairly firm and values honor, so never let them lose face in front of others.

When weak: A fallen Tian Xiang can bring a sense of frustration into marriage: your partner is good-hearted but easily influenced by others, and sometimes makes impulsive decisions whose consequences you have to bear. The two of you need clear shared principles. Agree in advance on big matters like money and housing, and keep trust through transparency.

Tian Xiang in the Siblings palace

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang in the Siblings palace suggests upright siblings who keep their word and often act as peacemakers when the family has troubles. Your close friends are trustworthy and ready to stand up for you. Treasure these relationships and don’t hesitate to ask for help, because support here usually flows both ways.

When weak: A fallen Tian Xiang suggests siblings who mean well but are easily led by outsiders, sometimes pulling you into matters not worth your time. You may also, out of politeness, guarantee loans or lend beyond your means. Help within your capacity, state your terms clearly from the start, and don’t be afraid to say no when something feels off.

10-year luck period with Tian Xiang

When bright: A bright Tian Xiang (the Minister) earns you trust and the seal of responsibility: ten favorable years for management, mediation, and administration, with your reputation growing steadily. Hold on to your own views so you aren’t led by others.

When weak: A fallen Tian Xiang can leave you frustrated, carrying responsibility for others, or drawn into paperwork troubles. Be careful about guaranteeing loans or signing on someone’s behalf, and choose your side carefully.

Tian Xiang sharing a palace

Zi Wei – Tian Xiang · King with the Jade Seal

Zi Wei and Tian Xiang together in Chen (Dragon) or Xu (Dog) are a king holding the seal: you are upright, respect the rules, and want everything you do to be proper and legitimate. But Chen and Xu are the “Sky Net and Earth Snare” positions, so your path can get tangled and you must wait for your moment, with more constraints than chances in youth. With benefic stars converging and Po Jun in the opposite palace kept in check, things open up with time; patience is the key.

Wu Qu – Tian Xiang · Wealth and Seal Combined

Wu Qu and Tian Xiang together in Yin (Tiger) or Shen (Monkey) are the Wealth star holding the seal: Wu Qu’s financial decisiveness is shaped by Tian Xiang’s trustworthiness and integrity. You suit both business and public service, especially roles managing finance, personnel, or legal affairs. What to watch is not guaranteeing loans or making commitments on someone else’s behalf just to save face.

Lian Zhen – Tian Xiang · Built With Your Own Hands

Lian Zhen and Tian Xiang together in Zi (Rat) or Wu (Horse), both Prosperous: Lian Zhen’s principles meet Tian Xiang’s trustworthiness, making you upright, willing to take responsibility, and able to build your career with your own hands. Watch out when Qing Yang shares the palace, especially with Hua Ji, as paperwork troubles and disputes can arise. Then keep everything clear and in writing, and avoid shouldering tasks for others.
