About Menh Cach

Menh Cach turns your birthday into a beautiful fate card, with a reading of the 2027 Ding Wei year inspired by Vietnamese folk astrology.

How we calculate

• Lunar calendar: an astronomical new-moon and solar-term algorithm (after Ho Ngoc Duc), set to China Standard Time UTC+8 — matching the traditional Chinese calendar.
• Stem-branch and Na Yin: from the sixty-year Jiazi cycle.
• Ruling star (Nine Luminaries) and the eight yearly periods: by lunar age and gender, using traditional lookup tables.
• Three Calamities, Golden Tower, Desolate House: following common folk rules.
• Zodiac sign and Life Path number: from your Gregorian birth date; the Life Path uses a popular numerology method (2–11, 22, 33).

All readings are written in-house by the Menh Cach team, based on the traditional meaning of each star, period and element.
